Vooruit expands security portfolio with infostealer monitoring from Passguard

IT service provider Vooruit is adding infostealer monitoring to its security portfolio. The expansion stems from a partnership with Dutch cyber intelligence company Passguard. With this new service, customers gain visibility into infected devices whose data is being traded on criminal marketplaces. Infostealers represent a rapidly growing threat, as criminals can use stolen session tokens to bypass even multi-factor authentication.
According to Earth Grob, Business Manager Cybersecurity at Vooruit, infostealers remain a blind spot for many organizations. Infections on unmanaged devices in particular often go unnoticed. “Without visibility into criminal marketplaces, our customers face a critical security risk. Being able to offer this now through Passguard is therefore an enormous addition,” said Grob.
Passguard CEO Tom Leijte points to the rapid increase in infostealer activity. The number of cases has grown sixteenfold in five years. “This causes significant societal harm. Think of the recent hacks at TU Eindhoven and the police. That’s why we must quickly scale up our services. We’re proud to do this together with an ambitious partner like Vooruit,” said Leijte.
The collaboration not only provides customers with visibility into infections but also supports them in handling incidents. Passguard maps out which devices are infected and what data is being offered—ranging from hostnames and IP addresses to complete sessions with usernames, passwords, and cookies. Vooruit translates these findings into practical steps for customers. Grob: “We take immediate action when new infections appear and ensure our customers quickly regain control of the situation. We also help them take measures to prevent recurrence.”
According to Leijte, that’s precisely where the value of the partnership lies: visibility into the threat and guidance in the response. “The strength of this partnership is that organizations are not only supported during incidents but also become more resilient against future attacks. This reduces the damage that infostealers can cause in the Netherlands.”
With this collaboration, Vooruit and Passguard are taking an important step toward better protecting Dutch organizations against one of today’s fastest-growing cyber threats.
