Infostealer-startup Passguard raises half a million in pre-seed round from angels and cybersecurity experts
Sep 10, 2025

Leusden, September 10, 2025 – Passguard, specialized in monitoring infostealer marketplaces, has brought three leading cybersecurity experts on board as investors: Dimitri van Zantvliet, Cybersecurity Director at Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways), Rogier Fischer, founder and CEO of Hadrian, and Pieter Jansen, founder and former CEO of Cybersprint and currently partner at cybersecurity investor Ctrl+Alt+Invest. Together with several other angel investors, Passguard has raised a total of half a million euros in a pre-seed funding round.
For Dimitri van Zantvliet, Passguard’s focus was decisive:
“Infostealers are currently one of the biggest blind spots in cybersecurity. Passguard addresses this issue in an ethical and accessible way. Made in Holland, and exactly the kind of independent European solution many organizations are looking for.”
Rogier Fischer already knew Passguard as a supplier through Hadrian:
“Through our collaboration with Passguard I’ve come to know the product and team in depth. I’ve seen that their solution really makes a difference for many companies in the Netherlands and across Europe.”
Pieter Jansen followed the founding team closely during a coaching program at startup incubator YES!Delft:
“The founders of Passguard combine deep technical expertise with a true entrepreneurial mindset. That makes them a team capable of making a real difference in cybersecurity.”
Tom Leijte, CEO of Passguard, concludes:
“With Dimitri, Rogier and Pieter we’re bringing a wealth of cybersecurity experience on board. Their market knowledge and experience in scaling cybersecurity companies will help us move forward. With this funding we’re investing in making our data as scalable and accessible as possible through our API, enabling security integrators to deploy it directly for their clients.”
