Passguard Featured in Het Financieele Dagblad

As highlighted in the piece, the number of Dutch cybersecurity startups has been declining in recent years. In response, organizations such as YES!Delft, InnovationQuarter, and the Municipality of The Hague have launched a dedicated program to support promising cybersecurity ventures. Passguard is one of just six startups selected to participate.
A Growing Threat, and a Clear Mission
From the outset, Passguard has focused on a rising but often overlooked threat: Infostealers. Malware used by cybercriminals to extract sensitive data such as passwords, session tokens, and authentication cookies from infected devices.
These attacks are increasing in volume and sophistication, often evading traditional detection. At Passguard, our mission is clear:
We want to become Europe’s leading force in detecting and neutralizing infostealers.
A Rare Opportunity to Learn from Experienced Founders
As part of the cybersecurity program, our CEO Tom Leijte had the opportunity to reflect on the value of mentorship. In his words:
“That’s what makes this program so valuable. Getting a mentor via YES!Delft means listening to an entrepreneur who has actually been through it themselves.”
In a landscape where young cybersecurity companies often face funding gaps and fragmented support, this kind of guidance can make a crucial difference.
The Road Ahead
Being recognized by the FD and selected for this national initiative marks a significant milestone in our journey, but it’s only the beginning. We are actively expanding our partnerships, growing our team, and improving our platform to stay ahead of increasingly evasive cyber threats.
Are you’re curious how infostealer infections can be detected before it’s too late, we’d love to start a conversation.
