In an interview with Computable.nl, Tom Leijte, CEO of Passguard, shares his vision on how organizations should handle data breaches. According to him, it is not sufficient to inform customers that "categories of data may have been leaked."
True transparency means that organizations provide concrete insight into which personal data was stored per individual and may have been compromised. Only with that level of clarity can people assess the impact and take appropriate measures.
