Passguard CEO Tom Leijte to speak at webinar on infostealers and human behaviour
Feb 11, 2026

Tom Leijte, CEO and co-founder of Passguard, will speak on 5 March during a webinar on infostealers and the role of human behaviour in modern cyber attacks. The webinar is organised in collaboration with Awareways and focuses on combining technical detection with behavioural change in response to infostealer-driven threats.
Infostealers have become one of the main entry points for cyber attacks. Rather than breaking through technical security controls, attackers use stolen sessions and session tokens obtained via infostealers to gain access to organisations without being noticed. Simply changing passwords is often insufficient, as the underlying malware remains active on the infected device.
Where technology ends, behaviour begins
During the webinar, Tom Leijte will explain why infostealers are not only a technical problem, but also an organisational and human challenge. Employees may work from personal devices, fail to recognise early signs of malware, or unknowingly log in from infected systems. As a result, the problem can persist even when technical security measures are in place.
Together with Tom van Ruitenbeek, social engineering expert at Awareways, Leijte will discuss how organisations can improve resilience by combining infostealer monitoring with behavioural change. While Passguard provides insight into infected devices and compromised sessions, Awareways focuses on embedding secure behaviour across organisations.
What participants will learn
During the webinar, the following topics will be covered:
how infostealers pave the way for cyber attacks such as ransomware
why human behaviour plays a critical role in preventing recurring infections
how stolen sessions and credentials are proactively identified on restricted criminal marketplaces
how technology, training and simulation together create real cyber resilience
The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A, allowing participants to ask questions directly to both speakers.
